Yes. Your content (text, images, etc.) belongs to you. The tricky part is that some platforms make it deliberately difficult to export. I've done this migration many times and know the workarounds. We'll get your content out.
You'll need hosting, but it's typically $0-20/month depending on your needs (many small business sites can use free tiers). That's YOUR hosting account that YOU control - not a markup I'm charging you. I'll set it up and show you how it works.
Two options: I train you to make updates yourself (most text/image changes are simple), or you can hire me for updates at my hourly rate. No retainer required, no minimum. Just pay for what you need, when you need it.
Most website rescues take 2-4 weeks from start to launch. Simple sites can be faster. I'll give you a timeline estimate in our free consultation.
Done properly, no - and usually they improve. I set up proper redirects, keep your URLs consistent where possible, and build your new site with better SEO fundamentals than the template site you're leaving. Most clients see improved rankings within a few months.
